It’s almost Labor Day. You know what that means – a 3-day weekend!
The first Labor Day holiday was celebrated in New York City in 1882. It recognized the labor movement, as well as the social and economic achievements of workers. The government officially recognized the celebration of laborers contributions with the holiday in 1885. By 1894, Labor Day became a legal holiday.
While you are spending some downtime with family, planning a cookout, or just kicking back reading a book, keep in mind; this day is our annual tribute to how American workers have contributed to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country!
Happy Labor Day!
