Failure, here I come!

April 10, 2018 by Dr. Gia Leave a Comment

How many of you would make the same decisions today, you made 10 years ago?

Time and experience has a way of creating 20/20 vision as you look through the rearview mirror.

Robert F. Kennedy said,

“Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.”
Well heck, there must be a tremendous amount of success waiting for me in my future. Some failures were monumental. I still cringe when I think about them. The ones I regret the most were those that caused pain to others. An off-handed remark 15 years ago can still overwhelm me with regret.

What if I could erase all of those mistakes?

The irony is, the scar on my chin is a reminder to slow down and use caution. The painful loss of a relationship reminds me to make those important to me a priority. The embarrassing misstep that caused me to feel shame reminds me to choose my words carefully.

The scars I have accumulated over the years, are the war wounds from my battles to reach maturity.

Stephen Covey teaches us that “All things are created twice; first mentally; then physically.” He tells us to,

“begin with the end in mind, with a vision … of the desired result.”

In my mind’s eyes, I see a woman who has actualized her potential. I want to be that women in real life.

I know if I continue to try; I will continue to make mistakes, have missteps, and endure embarrassments.

In the 1903 article Poor Richard Junior’s Philosophy, the author wrote,

“The man who does things makes many mistakes, but he never makes the biggest mistake of all—doing nothing.”

I also know if I continue to try, I will learn more lessons, fulfill more potential, and experience more success.

Failure, here I come!

Forbes top business coaches offer insights and best practices on successfully leveraging diversity.

Hayward Suggs,Commonquest Consulting”]Your organization has a mission, focus on your purpose. If your team believes in what you are doing, it is much easier to tune out the noise. However, if some of the same issues that are grabbing headlines are also starring on your company’s center stage, you have to address them. When relationships, rewards, and recognition are aligned with results, your crew will feel included, valued, and secure.

Cultivate Successful Employees

January 9, 2018 by Dr. Gia Leave a Comment

Approximately 89% of managers believe that employees leave their jobs for more money. In reality, approximately 88% of employees said they left for reasons other than money.

Interesting disparity, wouldn’t you agree?

Given the time, money, and effort required to recruit, hire, and train new employees, it seems a little unreasonable to lose them for reasons within the organization’s control.

Apply our easy and straightforward model to help you acclimate your new employees both functionally and socially.Dr. Gia

This process serves as the bridge between the promise of your employees and the fulfillment of their potential, allowing you to onboard your employees and keep them on board!
